Job Description
The Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies is creating a pool of qualified candidates for part-time lecturer positions for openings during the 2024-25 academic year. Possible areas may include but are not limited to, courses in: Introductory Photography, Introductory Filmmaking, Screen Studies, Writing for Screen Media, and Government and Media.
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.F.A.) preferred. Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a film or television-related area of media production and substantial industry experience may also be considered. We prioritize candidates who have a record of successful college teaching and who share our commitment to professional preparation within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education. A wide variety of specialties will be considered including, but not limited to, postproduction, animation, experimental cinema, cinematography, directing, sound design, audio mixing, editing, and lighting.

Part-time or adjunct bargaining unit employees are all part-time faculty employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus including but not limited to faculty in the titles of Lecturer or Adjunct.
