Job Summary:
The Certified Wildlife Specialist-Sales is responsible for the inspection and diagnosis of an animal problem at a prospective customer’s home. The goal of this position is to provide the prospective customer with a comprehensive plan and price to get animals currently residing in their home out, and to prevent their future entry. The Certified Wildlife Specialist completes their essential job functions in a safe and timely manner and is responsible for completing other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Classification: Full time/Commission Salary/Exempt
Work Location: On the road. Local travel.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed. Overtime if needed.
Reports To: Sales Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Sales:
Identifies nuisance wildlife and pests at customer sites and designs effective control strategies for the customer.
Completes comprehensive inspections of prospective customer’s homes including up on roofs and in attics.
Captures meaningful photos on a service platform (ServiceBridge) identifying areas of current and potential future entry points.
Presents information gathered along with solutions and pricing to prospective customers.
Maintains quality and comprehensive notes on a service platform (ServiceBridge) for proper transfer of knowledge between departments.
Collects deposits and final payments.
Maintains quality results by adhering to company standards.
Maintains safe work habits by following company standards.
Operates and maintain service vehicle and equipment.
Attends Sales Meetings and Trainings on time.
Fills out required information on the inspection report
Fills out required information for attic refurbishment on attic report
Customer Service
Works effectively with the customer to helps assess what their needs are.
Addresses customer questions and concerns.
Provides final job estimate.
Provides superior wildlife and pest management services to our clients.
SKILL/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Physical stamina to work in periodically harsh conditions as the nature of the job demands.,
Good customer service skills and be customer focused.
Strong ability to quickly build relationships with prospective customers.
Strong ability to keep good records of all contact with customers.
Comfort and ability to lift and work from ladders, roofs, attics, and crawl spaces.
Ability to handle wildlife as needed.
Must have a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search.
Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test.
Conduct inspections to determine the source of activity and provide written explanations and recommendations.
Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management program.
Serve as a problem solver for your customer by utilizing the in-depth training provided to decide on the most efficient and best overall solution for each customer's needs.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills as you interact with customers, office staff, and sales manager.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, including, but not limited to monthly courses pertinent to the industry.
Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

PREFERRED:
Relevant training and/or experience in a business to consumer sales environment.
Basic construction knowledge and abilities
Education:
High school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of sales experience
Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working while exposed to environmental elements. Working from heights and ladders. Riding in a car for long periods of time. Bending, kneeling and crawling into tight spaces to carry out site inspections. Requires standing for a long period of time. Working with pesticides (training and protective equipment to ensure safety)

Some local travel required.
