What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Staffmark Group?
Staffmark is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Columbus, OH, to hire an Assembly Technician for a temp-to-hire position. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the assembly field!
Pay: $17-$19 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible schedule between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday)
The Assembly Technician will work at various stations, performing a range of tasks, including assembling and testing electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, gluing sub-assemblies, and mechanical assembly of force measurement products. You will collaborate closely with production management to ensure the timely and high-quality manufacturing of products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Gluing sub-assemblies using 2-part epoxy
- General mechanical assembly with hand, powered, or pneumatic tools
- Integrating PCBs and other electronic components into Bertec products
- Soldering wiring to PCB boards
- Assembling wire harnesses, cables, and electronic sub-assemblies
- Calibrating and testing products
- Lifting and physically handling components (up to 70 lbs, or 140 lbs with team assistance)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics
- Prior experience with electronics assembly, soldering, or mechanical assembly is required
- Ability to maintain accurate product calibration and testing records
