BASIC PURPOSE:
Perform assembly functions for Pressure, Force and Electronics.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
- Solder under microscope.
- Zero Adjust Wheatstone bridge.
- Zero and span Compensation for Force, Pressure, and Electronics products
- Temperature Chamber Operation
- Manufacture cable assemblies.
- Hand soldering.
- Basic computer operation.
- Read drawings.
- Evaluate and repair as needed
- Responsible for quality control; make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs)
- Complete daily production logs
- Perform daily inspections on production equipment and tools; ESD, Calipers, DVM, Etc.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts
- Clean and maintain work area (5S)
- Ensure product is assembled to required configuration
- May perform on the job training to new employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions with no assistance
- Ability to add, subtract, and record data onto tabulation sheets
- Ability to receive verbal instructions and comprehend them
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts a plus
- Computer literacy desired, but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Vision: color vision and the ability to distinguish between subsets of individual colors and quality of colors
- Sense of Sound (Must be able to hear and speak.)
- Sense of Touch
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety glasses)
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25lbs.
- Long periods of standing are required
