Stafford Technical Center offers fourteen full-day technical education programs, each of which offers college credits or industry certifications to students as part of their high school education. Students are prepared for higher education and/or entry into business and industry. Stafford Technical Center has an anticipated Welding & Metal Fabrication Instructor opening beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
Welding & Metal Fabrication Instructor: This is a full-time position teaching in our Welding & Metal Fabrication program which is expanding. Prior experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes to teach students in their skill development. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pass a SMAW 3G and 4G unlimited thickness welder performance qualification, have graduated from a post-secondary welding institution, have general metal shop fabrication skills, and be focused on shop safety.
Industry experience in the welding and/or metal fabrication field is required. Candidates with a two-year degree need a minimum of 4 years of related industry experience. Candidates with no post-secondary degree need a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience. Obtaining Licensure as a Career & Technical Education instructor with the Vermont Agency of Education, if not already licensed, will be part of the first 4 years of employment.
