Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is a seasonal position that will support site facilities and operations at various StanCraft sites including maintenance support to facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds. Primary duties for the season will include snow blowing, shoveling and de-icing. Facilities Maintenance Technicians I will utilize technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills while providing general, preventative, and emergency maintenance duties as needed and assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Grounds maintenance (mowing, weeding, spraying etc.)/snow removal (plowing, snow blowing, shoveling)
· Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
· Assists with troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs.
· Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
· Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
· Maintains and assists with upkeep of the facilities interior and exterior.
· Ability to adjust schedule when needed to accommodate snow removal schedule expectations.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
· Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Related experience preferred.
· On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing and walking.
· Must be able to work outdoors in cold, wet conditions.
· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
· Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time.
Tools and Equipment Used:
Ladders, towing equipment, forklifts, lawn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, front end loader, snow removal equipment and snow plows, safety & protective gear. Possess your own winter boots – all equipment is provided by StanCraft
