We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to independently manage HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. This role also involves providing initial IT support to new hires for setting up company-provided equipment.
Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Full-cycle Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process, manage job postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and guide hiring decisions.
- Employee Onboarding: Oversee and conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and completing all required documentation.
- Technology Setup Support: Assist new employees with setting up company-provided computers and equipment, providing initial IT support for basic technical issues.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, update HR databases, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Background Checks: Manage the background check process for new employees, ensuring timely and thorough execution.
- Policy Implementation: Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures, and assist in developing and updating the employee handbook as needed.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Partner with the finance team to oversee payroll and manage employee benefits programs.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, develop relevant training programs, and coordinate ongoing employee development.
- Compliance Management: Ensure company adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strategic Partnering: Act as a strategic partner to management, providing HR guidance on business initiatives and workforce planning.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in a human resources role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity (e.g., HR Manager or equivalent).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: High level of computer literacy to assist with IT setups.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage HR functions independently, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
- Organization Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Certifications (Preferred): PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
Additional Details
The base salary range for this position is $75K - $80K annually, depending on experience.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
