What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable position at Standard Iron?
Accounts Payable
Essential Duties
- Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Monitor Accounts Payable & Voucher Payables clearing accounts.
- Analyze items for proper Sales & Use tax.
- Enter expenses for checks written at the manufacturing plants.
- Keep track of manufacturing plant bank balances in checking accounts.
Job Skills & Qualifications
- 2 year Accounting degree and/or equivalent experience
- Strong basic knowledge of Accounts Payable practices
- Proficient in Excel
- Accounts Receivable experience a plus
- Experience with Accounting systems
