Position Overview
Under the direction of the Benefits & Wellness Manager, the Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the wellness team and wellness program objectives, maintaining program records and coordinating the fitness program.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Wellness Team on continual program improvement and delivery
- Coordinate onsite fitness classes
- Create all internal employee wellness marketing materials including monthly newsletter, weekly emails, social medica and monitor slides
- Track utilization of all wellness-based activities
- Coordinate and support monthly worksite wellness events including product education, challenges, biometric screenings, My Wellness Journey, nutrition events and others
- Main point of contact for contracted wellness services for all locations such as chiropractic, massage, etc.
- Maintain participant fitness profiles and track participant progress
- Act as main point of contact and coordinator for My Wellness Journey, an individualized wellness program
- Measure and evaluate campaign success, year-over-year engagement and utilization
- Assist in the preparation of the Wellness Program budget, ordering supplies, and creating requisitions
- Provide administrative support for Whole Food Court as needed
- Ability to enthusiastically & effectively engage with a diverse multi-generational employee group that is in-person, remote, and across multiple time zones
- Stay abreast of current health and fitness issues and trends
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
Certifications/Licenses:
- Certified fitness instructor able to lead group exercise such as aerobic, stretching, yoga, or other activity a plus
- Current CPR/AED Certification and basic First Aid knowledge preferred
Experience:
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships with team members, employees, and external service providers and vendors.
- Ideally, prior experience administering corporate wellness programs or workplace wellness initiatives. health promotion or workplace wellness programs.
- Experience maintaining program records, tracking utilization metrics and reporting on participation and outcomes.
- Experience creating employee-focused wellness marketing materials (e.g., newsletters, emails, social media content) to promote wellness programs.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Passionate about wellness while providing a customer service-oriented approach to wellness program delivery
- Ability to motivate others to improve their overall fitness and health
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Standard Process & Mediherb products
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to track data effectively and provide monthly and yearly reports.
- Knowledge of wellness market/industry trends and HIPPA/PHI compliance
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and exercise
- Knowledge of industry trends and standards, including behavior change strategies, HIPAA compliance, and measurement/evaluation practices.
