We are looking for a part time caretaker at our Turner, Maine community.
Job Overview
You are assigned to a local property management team working together to ensure the highest level of excellence for each property. The Property Caretaker will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents.
Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Address minor repairs promptly and efficiently, escalating complex issues to the appropriate parties.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the management.
2. Groundskeeping:
- Maintain the landscaping, including trimming bushes, watering and weeding garden beds, and enhancing the property's curb appeal.
- Clear walkways and parking areas during inclement weather to ensure the safety of residents.
- Oversee the proper disposal of trash and recycling materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in property maintenance, caretaking, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor tasks.
