The College Navigator will coordinate, develop, enhance, and offer admissions advising, planning, and support to students seeking enrollment at Stanly Community College. Perform a variety of duties on-campus related to customer service, advising, admissions, records, financial aid applications, registration, retention, scheduling appointments, data entry, online and in-person assistance for students. This position requires excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, and an outgoing personality with strong people skills. This position reports to the Director of Student Access and Financial Aid.

Customer ServiceGreet and welcome students. Inquire about and discuss future goals. Daily front-desk activities: in-person, e-mail, phone, and chat inquiries and SCC social networks.Provide an honest, safe, confidential, and respectful environment where students can ask questions, express concerns, and discuss interests.Work with prospective, new, and continuing students.Admissions advising and RegistrationAssist students in requesting transcripts.Provide information for the degree program. Maintain onestop@stanly.edu Assist students coming into the center for in-person assistance. Connect students with campus resources (Success Coaches, counselors, Student Services, etc.)Participate in ongoing training. Facilitate and document communication with Success Coaches.Process and print transcripts upon request.Process applications and check sheets.Assist with report cleanup.Contact students with incomplete files.Register students for continuing education courses.Delete, drop, and withdraw students from CE courses.Coordinate the CE drop/delete/withdraw process with the CE Associate RegistrarCommunicate with CE coordinators to ensure course availability and accessibility.Maintain CE interest lists and waitlists for unavailable courses.Print college and adult high school transcripts, and archive request forms.Print student ID badges (walk-ins and e-form requests)RetentionAssist retention efforts by contacting students with incomplete files and assist with obtaining missing documents.Appointment SchedulingAssist in scheduling placement testing date.
