Star Staffing is seeking an experienced and safety conscious Payload Operator for a stable and growing local manufacturer!
Mon-Fri 7am-3 : 30pm (Must be available for overtime as needed)
$20.00-$25.00hr DOE
Summary :
Responsible for all receiving, storage, and shipping tasks related to dry bulk products. Ensures the safe and efficient storage of bulk products by maintaining
the warehouse and equipment. Prioritizes the protection and preservation of product inventory, exercising the highest level of care and attention to detail at all times.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain proper product levels in storage hoppers and monitor inbound product during vessel discharges.
- Operate pay-loaders to minimize product degradation and ensure efficient equipment use.
- Inspect trucks and refrain from loading sub-standard vehicles.
- Participate in mandatory safety training and exercises.
- Train colleagues on pay-loader and forklift operations.
- Follow and implement the facility manual for job-related tasks and develop an understanding of the ALS system.
- Keep warehouse, terminal grounds, and equipment clean, safe, and efficient. Report equipment issues to the Facility Manager.
- Conduct daily loading system checks and ensure proper operation of all loading / unloading systems, including scheduling maintenance and cleanup as needed.
- Maintain Product Stewardship standards and participate in inspections, safety walks, and 5S / Lean initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
Education / Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of terminal experience
- Payload certification
- DOT, PSM, First aid, CPR, Blood borne Pathogen and AED certified
