Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist-Receptionist to join our office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, ensuring efficient scheduling, and providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Duties
- Primary responsibilities are to provide administration support assistance to the agency, and to maintain compliance with standards regarding client enrollment information.
- Creates a welcoming environment by greeting clients, answering phone calls, directing visitors, and taking messages.
- Completes the client check-in and check-out process.
- Verifies insurances and completes payments if necessary.
- Works efficiently and effectively in the EHR (electronic health records).
- Assist in conducting appointment reminders to scheduled clients.
- Provide coverage of the receptionist desk as needed.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Business Operations.
- Seeks out resources and direction when necessary.
- Represents TASC to the community, including other agencies and funding authorities, in a professional manner.
- Supports the agency’s mission of service to those impacted by chemical dependency mental illness.
- Promptly reports and responds to any critical situation.
- Provides positive support by proactive response to perceived needs of the agency.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma. Associates preferred. Documented proficiency with MSOffice/Windows. Experience with office practices and procedures. Organizational skills and operation of office machines. Ability to relate to the public.
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or medical administrative support is preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR (preferably NextGen).
- Strong front desk experience with excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in office management practices and procedures.
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately while using computerized systems.
- A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Behavioral Health Experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
