Qualified security professionals to support a private security program in the Washington, DC area.
KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a command presence
- Required to monitor and control facility access, screen all visitors for unauthorized items using a handheld magnetometer, metal detector and x-ray machines
- Prolonged sitting and standing may be required during peak traffic hours
EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must have an active DC Special Police Officer (SPO) license
- Must have two (2) years of consecutive security experience
- Must have two (2) years of security supervisory experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prior training and/or experience in basic security industry standards
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Possess a current valid photo ID
- Possess reliable means of transportation
- Possess a working and reliable telephone number
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Poised and able to function effectively with the general public
- Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
