This role is responsible for communicating and problem solving with both external and internal customers of the purchasing department to include but not limited to Sales, Construction, Design and Trade Partners.

Position Overview
The Purchasing Coordinator supports the purchasing process by maintaining and managing systems, software, and documents. This role is responsible for communicating and problem solving with both external and internal customers of the purchasing department to include but not limited to Sales, Construction, Design and Trade Partners.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vendor contracts, agreements, and signed pricing backup for all active vendors.
- Setup, maintain, and update vendor contact database in Excel and in Dynamic Builder.
- Maintain invite-to-bid, bid awards, preferred and potential vendor documents.
- Generate, update, and reissue purchase orders for housing starts.
- Manage and track vendor insurance and communicate updates with corporate accounting.
- Set up new vendors in Dynamic Builder including access to the vendor portal for vendor and employees.
- Enter Lot Required Options provided by Director of Purchasing.
- Maintain House Plans and Engineering in Lot Documents in Dynamic Builder on each lot.
- Refresh POs for pricing and quantity changes as requested by Director of Purchasing.
- Confirm community specifications are uploaded with Corporate Purchasing.
- Bi-Weekly to Monthly Site visits to verify take-offs and trade partner performance
- Confirm Rebate numbers with Corporate Purchasing.
- High School Degree or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
- At least one year of administrative or customer service experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel).
- At least one year purchasing experience preferred.
- Active/valid driver’s license required
