Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Leader to oversee our sales team. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, a drive for continuous improvement, and over five years of experience in sales team management. This key role involves collaborating with the CEO and Director of Strategic Initiatives to set and achieve sales revenue targets. The role demands a thorough understanding of business forecasts, professional representation of Startel in the market, and high satisfaction levels among peers, salespeople, customers, and partners. The candidate will also work closely with the marketing team to drive successful campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual revenue targets.
- Lead the sales team in professionally representing Startel to prospects, customers, and partners.
- Become a power user of our software to identify the right solution features for closing sales.
- Provide accurate forecasts of contracts and revenue.
- Ensure proper use of the company CRM.
- Identify potential industries to target.
- Review protocols for qualifying and closing sales opportunities for enterprise-level companies and service providers.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Provide insights into market trends, product requirements, and competition to the CEO and Director of Strategic Initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on successful campaigns for current products and new offerings.
- Track lead data with the marketing team.
- Foster a close-knit, goal-oriented team culture among support staff.
- Mentor new and veteran sales staff.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of managing Sales Teams that achieve annual quotas.
- Minimum of five years of experience selling software, preferably cloud and premise-based solutions within the Call Center Solution niche.
- Ability to help sales staff present and communicate effectively at all customer levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
- Fun and personable attitude.
- Determined to exceed expectations.
- Willingness to travel 25%.
