The incumbent will reinforce the strategic direction for OCM and ensure work is completed per the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) requirements, Project Management Plans, and Organization Change Management Plans. The incumbent will be accountable for the management of training and readiness for CSPS.
Duties Performed:
- Directly manage, coach, and develop SSMI Training and Readiness Managers.
- Provide leadership, supporting the oversight and coordination of the OCM workstreams including supervision, recruitment, internal training, staff retention/satisfaction, and staff development.
- Oversee the assigning and management of work assignments for the readiness team and the training team members.
- Recruit as necessary for SSMIs and support recruitment efforts for AGPAs who report to the SSMIs.
- Assist in establishment and management of the OCM strategic and tactical direction and assist in leading the people-focused efforts related to awareness, change readiness, stakeholder engagement, resistance management, coaching and training of the project team and external departments.
- Assist in promoting active executive sponsorship to increase organizational readiness and decrease resistance.
- Develop strategies to enhance stakeholder awareness and buy-in of project scope and changes to current state.
- Assist in leading and managing OCM work efforts and activities as defined in the various project plans and schedules.
- Assist in the development of OCM continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in the management of OCM procurement activities, partnering with the selected OCM vendors to assist in the coordination of OCM activities.
- Assist in monitoring vendor deliverables and ensure the vendor work is meeting OCM’s expectations for quality.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key project team members and business partners needed to support critical OCM activities.
- Leverage communications support as necessary to ensure effective communications strategies for stakeholder groups are implemented.
- Represent the SCO/CSPS at various functional and technical focus groups or task forces comprised of departmental, control agency, and labor union representatives.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California.
