Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify.The Department of Administration, Shared Services of Alaska is recruiting for an Accounting Clerk in Anchorage or Juneau!What You Will Be Doing: The position reviews, audits, and reconciles financial transactions for the accounts payable, travel, or PCard team. Our Mission, Values, and Culture: Shared Services of Alaska (SSOA) provides enterprise-wide management of financial transactions and back-office support for common administrative functions. SSoA is comprised of four programs: (1) Accounts Payable, (2) Travel and Expense Reimbursement, (3) Aged Accounts Receivables and Debt Recovery, and (4) Central Mail and Print Services. SSoA's overarching goal is to standardize and streamline business processes, reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and drive higher quality service. High school diploma or GEDANDSix months of paid or volunteer work experience that included using computer systems to enter, retrieve, or communicate information and handling cash or performing basic arithmetic calculations.Substitutions: Education from an accredited college or vocational school may substitute for the required experience (3 semester or 4 quarter hours of college education equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education equal one month of experience).A Career Readiness Certificate with ACT WorkKeys® scores of skill level 4 or higher in Graphic Literacy (formerly Locating Information), skill level 4 or higher in Applied Math, and skill level 4 or higher in Workplace Documents (formerly Reading for Information) will substitute for the high school diploma and required experience.Special Note: ACT WorkKeys® skill testing and career readiness certification is available at the Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Alaska Job Centers.
