What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Statewide Associate Engineer 1-4 (OTS-DCO) position at State of Louisiana?

The Associate Engineer position will be provisioning, and maintaining the new network infrastructure for software defined networking Equipment.
This position will be troubleshooting connectivity issues with legacy network equipment in and around capital park area.

This vacancy participates in a career progression group and may be filled from this recruitment as a IT Statewide Associate Engineer 1 (TS-310), IT Statewide Associate Engineer 2 (TS-311), IT Statewide Associate Engineer 3 (TS-312) or IT Statewide Associate Engineer 4 (TS-313) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. The maximum salary for the IT Statewide Associate Engineer 4 is $96,325. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
An associate's degree in information technology; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area.

A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from other IT Statewide jobs by the presence of responsibility for statewide information technology infrastructure system components. Information technology infrastructure includes systems such as network, storage, database, server, mainframe, hardware, etc., as well as the interoperability of all technology components within them.
Differs from IT Statewide Associate Engineer 2 by the absence of independence in performing basic tasks in support of information technology infrastructure components.
