Job Summary
Telework is available and negotiated at the time of hire.
As a member of the Identity & Access Management Team, the IAM Operations Specialist will be proactively involved in the development and implementation of the systemwide Identity and Access Management architecture. In addition, the operations specialist will have primary responsibility for support of the Minnesota State Enterprise IAM System, including test and production infrastructure and services. This specialist will also represent Minnesota State on all ITS IAM campus integration initiatives and on all ITS IAM system production and test environment maintenance, outages, problems, and/or major issues.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

- Either five years progressive experience in IT development, support or operations, preferably related to Active Directory or LDAP directories, authentication and authorization technologies and services – without a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field of study; or three years progressive experience in IT development, support or operations, preferably related to Active Directory or LDAP directories, authentication and authorization technologies and services – plus a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field of study.
- Knowledge of directories, authentication, authorization, and/or other identity and access management operations.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio is required.
- Ability to interpret business and functional requirements, analyzing the requirements and current system state sufficient to recommend changes to system configuration and deployment.
- Ability to interpret, draft and communicate technical information in clear and concise written and oral form is required.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, escalating them as needed to appropriate staff member or management.
- Ability to define, organize and manage multiple projects/tasks/issues concurrently.
- Demonstrated commitment to work with diverse clients, stakeholders and students, fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Identity and Access Management software tools and providing related services.
- Experience using Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, and Azure Active Directory for authentication and access control.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience using or supporting the Minnesota State ISRS ERP system and/or a higher education system/institution ERP.
- Experience with Linux and Windows administration
