What You’ll Do
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Maintain position, employee, and leave records in the payroll system.
- Support new employee orientation efforts.
- Provide guidance on benefits and time and leave.
- Provide guidance to team members based upon federal law, state law, statewide policies, and Office of Administration policies.
- Serve as an HR expert and respond to questions in a variety of meetings.
- Engage with OA team members on a daily basis promoting a quality customer experience in-person, by phone, and through email.
- Interact with OA customers in a professional, helpful manner; determine need; furnish necessary information; and take and relay detailed messages.
- Draft and organize a variety of communication materials used to inform OA’s workforce of important HR information.
- Perform general human resources work that contributes to the success of the team.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our internal processes.
- Provide support to other areas of OEE as needed.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll technology
- Use discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptive to challenges
- Effective critical thinking skills with ability to be solution-driven
- General knowledge of employment law
- Enjoy collaborating with and helping others
- Outstanding attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Familiarity with problem-solving and process improvement techniques
