Job Description:
Examples of Work
- Coordinates monthly commission meetings, including logistics, travel, public posting.
- Handles requests for agenda items; prepares public commission book, attend meetings and prepares meeting minutes.
- Assists with completion and submission of expense reimbursement documents.
- Manages Director’s calendar and schedules meetings and appointments on their behalf.
- Makes travel arrangement for Director and other agency staff.
- Answer phone calls.
- Creates and maintains spreadsheets/dashboards of statistical data for the Commission.
- Prepares agency annual report in collaboration with division leaders.
- Serves as agency coordinator for records management and retention.
- Reviews financial forms and records; Assists in RFP process.
- Generates required reports for end of year racing and submit to national entities.
- Plan commission recognition and other events.
- Embraces additional responsibilities as needed to support the Commission’s evolving needs.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Preferred: Prior experience in state government and planning public meetings.
Other: This job requires regular, reliable onsite attendance. Position requires occasional in-state travel. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

- An active approach to problem solving.
- Must be able to travel in state occasionally with the potential of out of state travel.
