DUTIES:
- Responsible for the overall management coordination of the facility
- Repair and remodeling of buildings, equipment, security fence and utilities
- Manage, direct and evaluate the work of maintenance staff to include
maintenance organization structure.
- Ability to plan, organize and effectively supervise the work of a skilled
- Read, interpret, and apply safety codes.
- Coordinate various multi-trade functions including private contractors.
- Review bid proposals.
- Minor repair and troubleshooting HVAC system.
- Operate all types of power tools and equipment.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates' degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, HVAC, welding, or other maintenance/construction trade, one year of experience in skilled building maintenance or a mechanical trade, and experience supervising the work of skilled maintenance staff, in budgeting, and coordinating/managing major construction/renovation projects. Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years supervisory experience. Experience in maintaining maintenance records. Experience or knowledge in the Dude Solutions work order process. Experience in developing preventative maintenance plans. Experience in MS Word and Excel.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following preemployment exams; medical exam and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
