The Financial Analyst III will:
Why does the job exist?
The Financial Coordinator III will:
Coordinate financial data, prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations programs, and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger for the assigned fund;
Prepare monthly trial balances for assigned funds;
Ensure audit requirements are met;
Prepare financial statements and audit schedules for the assigned funds;
Ensure Health Care Authority (HCA) complies with all state and federal rules and regulations while effectively working and communicating with other Bureaus and Divisions within the Agency.
How does it get done?
The Financial Coordinator III is responsible for:
Running reports from SHARE;
Preparing trial balances;
Reviewing and analyzing financial data;
Reconciling the general ledger thru third party interface systems for HCA programs;
Preparing and monitoring financial transactions and adjustments within assigned fund;
Assisting with annual financial audit, audit deliverables, schedules and adjusting journal entries for assigned fund;
Working with management, staff, auditors and internal/external customers to ensure accuracy of the general ledger.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration and five (5) years of directly related experience in budgeting, accounting, and/or auditing. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience. For use at the State Investment Council only: any budgeting, accounting, and/or auditing experience is acceptable.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some occasional travel is required for meetings and conferences.
