Why does the job exist?
Position will assist in conducting research, providing analysis, and reporting of districtwide maintenance operations; provides support and training to the District maintenance personnel, as well as the Vegetation Management Program, Road Feature Inventory, and the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
How does it get done?
This position will be knowledgeable of New Mexico road system, process IPRA requests through data research. Also, it will train and assist District 4 Highway Maintenance Crews in preparing and reviewing documents/reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations and standards of highway maintenance operations.

Department of Transportation staff and the public.

Minimum Qualification
Associate degree and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Business reference check and Driver's License verification are required and employment is conditional pending results. Travel throughout the state and occasional out of state travel may be required.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
