Why does the job exist?
The position will support the Administrative Services Division and will be responsible for implementing, processing, tracking, and monitoring contract agreements, departmental requests for proposals, and invitations to bid.
How does it get done?
- Maintain all required documentation, in hard and electronic copy, associated with the Agency's procurement vehicles
- Review agency purchase documents to ensure compliance with New Mexico procurement statute, rules and regulations and the agency policies and procedures
- Assist agency staff in the development of invitation to bid and request for proposal documents that ensure compliance with the New Mexico procurement code, statute, rules, regulations and other guidelines

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following :
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting and Finance and two (2) years of experience in accounting, finance, purchasing, procurement, and / or warehouse clerking. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course certificate as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to visual display terminal(VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
