Description of Work

  • This position is TIME-LIMITED through January 2029. It is full-time (40 hours per week) with for a limited time. If you have questions concerning the time-limited status of this position, you may inquire at the interview.
  • The maximum recruitment range for this position is $55,808.00.

The Grants Administrator I is located in the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Human Trafficking Program. This position serves as the lead grant administrator and manages all aspects of the grant-funded project from initiation to completion. Job duties include :

  • Project administration to include coordinating and facilitating project meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for communication with grantors and stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on project status.
  • Developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to stakeholders' needs.
  • Adhering to program policies and practices and providing consultation.
  • Managing documentation and reporting requirements associated with the grant, including progress reports, financial statements, and other deliverables.
  • Conducting information research, data collection and analysis, and research methodology, as well as financial monitoring and reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience working with federal, state, and / or local government grant programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the general principles of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated skill at developing detailed strategy, project plans, timelines, and schedules to guide the execution of project activities.
  • Demonstrated experience providing written and oral briefings and / or reports in a business setting.
  • Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in a business setting.
  • Management prefers applicants that possess experience with budgeting and auditing practices and procedures.

    Selected candidates will undergo and must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation which includes : pre-employment polygraph examination; credit and arrest checks; interviews with associates, personal and business references; verification interviews of employers; verification of education achievement; urinalysis drug screening; and submission of fingerprints.

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
