The Opportunity…
We are seeking a Criminal Justice Planning Administrator in the Community Based Innovations and Solutions, Bureau of Community Reinvestment office, located at 30 W. Spring St., Columbus, OH 43215.
The Criminal Justice Planning Administrator duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the DYS/State of Ohio representative for community based federal juvenile justice grant programs.
- Completes and prepares applications and/or proposals to apply for federal block grant and discretionary funding to support community-based delinquency prevention programs.
- Administers federal funds awarded to Ohio from the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and other federal agencies.
- Collects statewide data and prepares and submits performance and special reports.
- Coordinates and directs statewide solicitations for prevention programs and services that support community-based prevention efforts
- Determines local allocations based on federal award amounts.
- Reviews and approves application budgets and establishes conditions of awards.
- Monitors cost efficiency and effectiveness of funded programs.
- Develops and conducts training and presentations related to federal grant requirements and nationally recognized best practices.

- Or completion of undergraduate major core program in criminal justice or related field of study; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in planning & monitoring criminal justice programs that included writing program plans, guidelines &minimum standards; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/ techniques.
- Or completion of graduate core program in criminal justice or related field of study (e.g., penology); 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Or 6 mos. exp. as Criminal Justice Planning Supervisor, 64715.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
