Job duties:
- The Administrative Coordinator supervises and performs in the creation and maintenance of accounting records; supervises the posting; updating and reconciling of records; supervises the preparation of financial and statistical reports for internal and external entities.
- Supervises the accounting tech I and the clerical personnel on recording financial transactions, balancing and reconciling accounts, verifying accounting documents and preparing financial statements for County Funds. Also, the inventory of state vehicles and related equipment.
- Supervises the activities of staff engaged in county financial activities for APS and Foster Care funds; ensures the accuracy, receipt and disbursements of funds from client accounts. Ensures that all financial activities are handled according to established county accounting procedures.
- Supervises the bookkeeping and accounting functions for the county's fraud collections department, reviews ledger and sheets, and all related reports. FINN Coordinator.
- Prepares monthly Director's reports and all report related to the incumbent's area of supervision. Maintains adequate levels of supplies for all accounting functions.
- Supervises and aides in evaluation of staff performance, trains new personnel.
- Performs Emergency Welfare Services to include American Red Cross Sheltering and Disaster SNAP services; performs other related duties as required.
A High School Diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
Must have a valid driver's license, with access to a personal vehicle, and be able and willing to drive and transport children and adults. Must be able to lift children and to interact with adults and children in a positive and supportive demeanor. Must have the ability to cope with stressful work and life-threatening situations.
