Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative support and advanced clerical duties, exercises judgement in the application of established office practices and procedures with minimal supervision.
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
Responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist II include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for scheduling of appointments for clinical and medical staff to meet centralized scheduling requirement of 3 months out. Calls for appointment reminders are made 24 and 48 hours out.
- Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner according to all standards. Provides appropriate office coverage as necessary and cross training is maintained.
- Data entry of required client information in CIS and EMR and any changes to such information as required and as changes occur in accordance with State and Center policies and standards.
- Client cases (open, closed, volumized) are maintained in accordance with Center and State guidelines.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
