Job Responsibilities
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Universal Public Procurement Certification Council ( UPPCC), CPPO or CPPB . NIGP - CPP is preferred.
Additional Comments
Familiarization with or ability to learn SC Consolidated Procurement Code. Knowledge of specification writing, contracts and procurement. Knowledge of a personal computer with analytical skills. Analytical skills and the ability to collect, compile and assemble information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to interpret policies and procedures accurately. Verbal and written communication skills.

- Performs systemwide complex duties with procurement of large volume and highly complex information technology and goods and services between the entire University system and vendors.
- Obtains competition in accordance with the provisions of the SC Consolidated Procurement Code and internal policies and procedures of the University system.
- Assists Purchasing Staff with contract administration related duties.
- Provides effective leadership, direction and management of complex procurements.
