Job Description

Principle Duties
The Utah State Hospital is an in-patient psychiatric facility, responsible for the total care of our patients while they stay with us. Psych techs are part of the nursing department and assist with maintaining a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for our patients.
Minimum Requirements
At minimum, the psych tech must be able to :
- pass a background check to work with vulnerable children and adults.
- work weekends and holidays (shift differentials may apply).
- attend each day of new employee orientation 8 AM - 5 PM (9 days).

This is a temporary position working 40 hrs a week that may become permanent at a later date.You must be available to work any day (Sunday through Saturday), any shift (day, evening, night) as assigned.Are you able to work the shifts you are assigned by management?
The work has moderate physical requirements such as the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and / or for long periods of time, or similar activities.
