What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist-Utah State Hospital position at State of Utah?
The Utah State Hospital is seeking a therapist to work on the Northeast Unit, one of our Civil Adult Units. At USH, we work with mentally ill individuals of all ages, with various diagnoses and wide range of severity. Our goal is to improve our patients overall quality of life and in many cases, facilitate integration into their families and community. The therapist in this position will work with mentally ill adult and/or geriatric patients. They will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, write therapeutic assessments, conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions, and be responsible for patient case management.
- Evaluate and assess the needs of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions.
- Write therapeutic assessments.
- Coordinate with the unit treatment team regarding treatment.
- Case management duties for patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed in the State of Utah as one of the following: CSW, ACMHC, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT
- Empathetic and passionate about working with mentally ill patients.
- Experience creating social history profiles.
- Current license, including LCSW, CSW, CMHC, LMFT
- Proficient in conducting productive therapeutic group sessions
