The WA Cares Fund is the first of its kind in the United States, showcasing why Washington State leads the nation in long-term care initiatives. Created by the WA State Legislature, the WA Cares Fund (WCF) offers affordable long-term care insurance coverage to all working Washingtonians. This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding team members as we introduce the nation’s first long-term services and supports social insurance program. DSHS’s Aging and Long-Term Care Administration’s WCF is hiring key team members now to assist as we move toward the full implementation of the program. Beginning in 2026, the innovative work that you do now will aid qualified people and their authorized representatives to apply for and access their earned benefits that help pay for daily-living activities. Your experience, knowledge, and skills make a difference. The Provider Network Navigators are crucial in training, outreach, and provider registration, and quality assurance. In this role, you will Identify and onboard long-term services and support providers who will offer approved WA Care Services to eligible program beneficiaries. Your partnership with the provider network you build includes verifying provider eligibility, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring on-going compliance with regulations. We are hiring for three vacancies! A hybrid telework schedule is available for one role in Eastern Washington and two roles in Southwest Washington/Coastal counties. Some of what you will do Provider Outreach and Contracting: Create, implement & execute outreach and recruiting strategies across multiple platforms, communities and languages.Develop culturally appropriate outreach materials and strategies for community partners & tribal providers.Training and Development: Delivering and collaborating in the development of training in various formats. conduct train-the-trainer sessions to equip providers with the skills and knowledge they need to function within the WA Cares program.Provider Eligibility and Registration: Facilitate provider application, registration, and contracting.Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries from providers which fosters a supportive environment where providers feel valued and motivated.Provider Quality Assurance Audits and Monitoring where occasional regional provider site visits will be expected: developing and supporting providers navigate performance improvement plans.Regularly review provider qualifications, such as licenses (both business and professional), insurance, and updates on their business status and performance.Who should applyThose with a combination of professional/practical experience of 9 years in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.Or, a masters* degree in social work, health or social science, public administration, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.Or, a bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.Or, one year of work experience equivalent to a Social and Health Program Consultant 3.Or, 2 years of work experience equivalent to a Social and Health Program Consultant 2.*A master’s degree which includes a relatable practicum may be considered for one of the years of described work experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Skilled in recruiting, evaluating, and auditing contracted employees.Knowledgeable about long-term care provider regulations or licensing requirements and compliance.Experience with ProviderOne, AAA, Medicaid systems, and MS Office.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process improvement.Proficient in writing policies, procedures, and training materials.Comfortable working independently and making decisions autonomously.Positive, proactive collaboration with the ability to influence and engage business partners.DSHS partners with people to access support, care, and resources.
