Position Summary
This position will assist with the preparation, maintenance, and delivery of archery equipment for archery programs, classes, and tournaments. This position will also assist with activities and programs/events involving archery, hunting, and shooting sports. This position supports training and instructing of archery instructors, coaches and students according to the curriculum established by the specific archery program.
60% Coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and purchase of archery equipment to support archery education programs/events and tournaments. Maintain and manage equipment inventory and trailers used to support archery education programs.
35% Assist with youth and adult programs and events intended to recruit, retain, and reactivate participants interested in learning more about how to hunt, fish, trap, and shoot. Attend statewide programs and events to provide logistical support, share information and resources, answer questions, and teach these outdoor skills.
5% Assist with coordination of the annual Wisconsin National Archery in the Schools Program tournament along with instructors and partner organizations.
Salary Information
This position pays $21.00 per hour and is in the Operations Program Associate classification in pay schedule and range 02-11. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.

This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.

Special Requirements:
- Residency: To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
- Has established a residence, as defined in s. 6.10(1), in this state not less than 10 days earlier;
- Has resided in this state for not less than a total of one year out of the immediately preceding 5 years;
- Is eligible to register to vote in this state; or
- Is the spouse of a person meeting the requirements of par. (a), (b), or (c).” s.230.03(12), Wis. Stats.

Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications below, the selected candidate must be eligible to drive a state vehicle and meet the following criteria:
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of two years licensed driving experience
- Have not had three (3) or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two (2) years
- Have no OWI/DUI violations within the past year
- General knowledge of archery equipment, archery companies and organizations, and safety standards.
- Interpersonal skills that allow for effective interface with Department staff and constituents in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
- General knowledge of trailer maintenance requirements.
- Ability to pull and back trailers in traffic and small spaces.
- Experienced archer with involvement in many aspects of target shooting, training, and archery range supervision.
