Position Summary
This position provides support to the Revenue Agent Supervisor, 12 revenue agents and up to 10 seasonal limited-term employees. Duties include training and development of employees and external customers; communication, and implementation of customer service standards; reviewing the most complex activities including researching and responding to inquiries related to, sales / use tax, withholding tax, local exposition, premier resort, rental vehicle, and excise tax programs administered by the Department. This position also p repares and updates Taxpayer Assistance and System references online and paper reference manuals and other tools used by staff to assist customers.

Salary Information
Revenue Agent 4 is in pay schedule and range 07-03 and the starting salary is between $26.87 and $33.85 an hour ($55,890 and $70,408 annually).
Salaries are dependent on candidate qualifications. Compensation for current and eligible former State employees may vary and will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
Due to the nature of this position's duties, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and a tax compliance check prior to appointment.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas, either at time of hire or at any later time. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.
A 12-month probationary period will be required.
