Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires managing a variety of administrative tasks while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
- Provide information about available rooms, rates, and hotel amenities.
- Process guest check-outs efficiently and accurately.
2. Reservations:
- Take and confirm reservations by phone, email, or in person.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of room availability and rates.
- Input reservation information into the hotel's computerized system.
3. Guest Services:
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with special requests and accommodations.
4. Payment Handling:
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide guests with accurate
receipts.
- Process payments and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
5. Communication:
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a courteous and timely
manner.
- Relay messages and information to guests and hotel staff.
6. Front Desk Operations:
- Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and well-stocked with
necessary supplies.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for room availability and
readiness.
7. Safety and Security:
- Follow established security and safety procedures, including verifying
guest identities.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the appropriate
personnel.
8. Guest Relations:
- Build positive relationships with guests to enhance their overall
experience.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues, escalating to
management when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with
composure.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services.
