Engine trouble shooting/ Small motor repair

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to diagnose and repair small engines effectively. This role is essential in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service for their equipment, including lawn mowers, generators, and other small machinery. A background in sales or dealership experience is a plus, as you will also engage with customers to provide recommendations and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance on various types of equipment.
• Utilize power tools and welding techniques as necessary for repairs.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed on each unit.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role involving small engine repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with power tools.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in sales or dealership settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar products is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
