The ideal candidate is responsible for managing small work teams in a fast paced, high volume, unionized manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coaching production associates, managing their performance, and ensuring appropriate shift coverage.
- Overseeing the production process, managing production schedules, and coordinating with other teams to achieve production goals.
- Ensuring that products meet quality standards and addressing any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Implementing and maintaining safety protocols and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and communicating effectively with management and other stakeholders.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Training and mentoring operators on safe and effective operating practices.
- Ensuring teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, correcting workplace hazards, and empowering others to continuously improve operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required/Bachelors Degree
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
- Have supervisory and manufacturing experience-2 years
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver's license, available to work any shift
