I. OBJECTIVE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The On-Premise Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth in bars, restaurants, and other on-premise locations. This role involves building strong relationships with key accounts, promoting Stein products, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and have a passion for working in the beverage industry.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Call on all daily On-Premise accounts on assigned day to attain volume quotas by brand
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in on-premise account
- Adequate and accurate inventory levels.
- Proper rotation of both package and draught.
- New package and brand authorizations distribution
- Accomplish timely and productive execution of sales plans and promotions at retail by securing trade support via back bar displays, price promotions, special events, on-premise promotions and point of sale materials.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within on-premise locations such as bars, restaurants, clubs, and hotels.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts to maximize sales revenue.
- Comply with Federal and State regulations concerning the sale and promotion of alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure proper and prompt handling of all customer problems/complaints.
- Ensure only fresh beer is in accounts.
- Attend special events.
- Deliver beer on an as needed basis when permitted
- Thorough knowledge of the entire Stein portfolio to sell all Stein brands
- Conduct tastings, training sessions, and product demonstrations to ensure customers are well-informed.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors’ activities
- Attend bi-weekly General Sales Meetings to discuss sales goals, new products, incentive programs, etc.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, distribution, and customer service, to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and campaigns.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College credits or equivalent preferred.
- Experience/Requirements:
- Proven experience in on-premise sales or related fields (e.g., foodservice, beverage industry).
- Strong understanding of the local on-premise market, including trends and key players.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of the beverage/foodservice industry and products (preferred).
- Must have valid drivers’ license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to bend, lift, sit squat and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance creating a favorable public image and maintain proper conduct.
