Stein, LLC in partnership with TMS International, LLC is a leading provider of outsourced steel services, including raw materials purchasing, scrap management, scrap optimization, slag processing and metal recovery services to integrated steel mills, mini-mills and foundries. We have operations at over 70 plants throughout the U.S., Canada, Central & South America, Europe and Asia.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Administrator to join our team located in Decatur, AL. This position will report directly to the Site Manager and will require to be on-site daily.
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift Weekends only as needed
Site Administrator Job Responsibilities
- Payroll duties including entry and verification. Vacation and attendance tracking.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting.
- Ensures confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information, such as staff and clients personnel files.
- Assist with on-boarding new employees and helping answer questions
- Responsible for maintenance support functions including purchasing, work orders, data entry, etc.
- Assists in budget preparation by gathering historical data in a limited area, such as materials and supplies or salaries.
- Tracks and monitors assigned budget expenditures and reports on variances.
- Coordinates preparation, development, and production of major documents, such as proposals and manuscripts.
- Oversees office operations.
- Purchase supplies for office; issue purchase orders.
- Utilizing ISO 9001 procedures that apply to our business.
Site Admin Qualifications
- 3-5 years working in an administrative/secretarial fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
- Must have experience working with the Microsoft Office Software package including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Excellent computer and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and handle various tasks under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety standards and industrial regulations is highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to process improvements and operational efficiency.
