Description
Steiner Studios seeks a Lighting & Grip Technician to work in our onsite rental house pulling, packaging and delivering lighting & grip equipment to production clients. Seeking candidates with strong customer service skills and knowledge of all types of grip and lighting equipment (e.g., tungsten & HMI’s), power supplies, and cable assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Pulling, packaging, and delivering outgoing lighting & grip packages;
- Receiving, checking in, and putting away rental returns;
- Keeping accurate paperwork including missing & damaged items;
- Maintaining and monitoring equipment;
- Providing clients with technical support as necessary concerning lighting & grip equipment;
- Assisting with loading & unloading trucks;
- General maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment & warehouse.
Skills or Qualifications
- Ready to work. Timely. Positive attitude. Team player.
- Extreme attraction to detail.
- Knowledge of all types of grip and lighting equipment (e.g., tungsten & HMI’s), power supplies, and cable assemblies;
- Customer service friendly, dependable, and able to take direction;
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong written and verbal communications skills;
- Able to work long hours/weekends/evenings;
- Fit to handle and lift 75 pounds without assistance;
- Qualified to operate heavy machinery (forklift, scissor lift, boom lift);
- Basic computer skills recommended, but not required;
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license.
Conditions
- May be required to work during off business hours. Business hours are considered 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
- Must fulfill 8-hours shifts with 1 hour for lunch.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 - 26.00/hour
This starting range represents anticipated hourly rate for this position, in addition to competitive benefits. We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.
