Summary The BHS Contract Liaison serves as the primary contact person for the Ctiy of Baltimore departments and their employees for the Baltimore City clinic. The Contract Liaison will assist with daily operations of the clinic as serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Medical Director and the management team. Responsibilities Acts as the liaison between Mercy and all City Agencies by distributing appointment reminders, no vshow lists and discharge instructions daily. Assists City employees while in the clinic by contacting agencies for missing paperwork or employee concerns. Works with the staff and physicians to facilitate the daily flow of the practice. Completes and sends monthly wait time metrics. Processes correspondence for the department and to schedule meetings for the physicians and other administrative staff. Completes and process documents from the daily activities of the Clinic including physical exams, substance abuse screening, and other documents received. Assist management with other assignments / reporting as needed. Acts independently to implement, perform, and oversee functions that provide administrative support to various departments. Establishes a cooperative working relationship with staff, physicians and administration to facilitate timely and high quality completion of work. Creates a positive office image by responding professionally to all patients, staff and other customers. Performs and manages basic office operations. Assists with the orientation and training of new staff. Responsibilities may also include greeting, registering and scheduling patients in the computer system as well as assisting the Care manager with the scheduling of patients when needed and substance testing. Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience : High School Diploma or GED Must possess a minimum of 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or comparable qualifications SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS License Requirements : N / A Certification Requirements : N / A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following : Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel Microsoft Outlook Meditech (if applicable to position) Epic (if applicable to position) Performance Manager / NetLearning Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Other Requirements : May be required to travel to satellite offices.
