What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Room Clerk position at Stella Maris?
Overview:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Refills nursing unit par level linen carts as required, following appropriate par levels. Follows all counting and documenting procedures and cleans carts regularly.
Empties ground floor Soiled Linen Chute regularly throughout the shift, following infection control procedures, and places empty cart under the chute. Maintains filled carts in orderly manner. Checks Soiled Linen Chute hourly and sweeps Soiled Linen Room floor once during the shift.
Maintains basement floor Linen Room in an orderly manner; stacks linens on wire carts neatly by linen type; assures that no clean linen is touching the floor at any time. Sweeps floor, including area under carts, at end of shift and empties trash.
Maintains ground floor Linen Storage Room in an orderly manner; stacks boxes safely on shelves by linen type; removes and discards packing materials. Sweeps floor weekly.
Assures that “ragged” linens returned from laundry are sorted properly and follows procedures regarding the disposal of the items.

Linen Room Clerk
6:30a-3:00p
Monday-Friday with an occasional weekend and or holiday.

To assure availability of linens for each nursing unit, physical therapy, the beauty shop and Adult Day Care and to maintain linen areas in an orderly manner.

High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience preferred
Min: USD $15.50/Hr. Max: USD $21.70/Hr. Benefits:
