Quality Control Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all food safety and quality parameters are adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
- Assist checking out bound packages.
- Ensuring that the right products are in packages.
- Collect in-process and finished product samples.
- Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure product meets specifications such as checking piece weights, film alignment, lot code verification, pallet configuration, etc.
- Performing sensory tests (taste, smell, texture, etc.) on food product to ensure consistent product quality and suggest correction when necessary.
- Follow protocols for documenting testing results.
- Recognize deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up.
- Identify and isolate products that do not meet standards.
- Aid in troubleshooting deficiencies and non-conformances.
- Review food safety and quality records.
- Actively participate in plant teams (HACCP, Safety, etc.)
- Conduct other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- English speaking is a must; Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred
- 1 year experience working in field or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- 1 years of experience working in a Quality Control/Technician role preferred.
- Knowledge of computer systems excel, word
- Experience may include a combination of work experience and education
- Must read, write and communicate in English. Ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish additionally is preferred.
- Must be able to work 8 to 10 hour shift (days or nights)
- Must follow GMP Policy
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: 1 year of QA lead experience
- Preferred: GFSI Experience (SQF, BRC and etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
