Lead multiple capital projects simultaneously using a hands-on approach. Manage a number of small capital projects critical to the organization's success. The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and execute capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Prepare and justify project proposals and budgets, securing necessary approvals.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage 4 projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $1.5 million.
Supervise equipment installations to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders to monitor progress and address challenges.
Oversee projects such as :
Dough depositor installations
Slicer upgrades
Inline bulk dosing scale installations
Dust control systems
Electrical upgrades, including replacing transformers and managing electrical components
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
Proven experience managing capital projects in the food and beverage, manufacturing, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of process equipment and electrical systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in the $500k $1.5M range.
Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
Hands-on experience with project management, including vendor management and on-site problem-solving.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD or similar design tools (preferred).
Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to take projects through all phases of capital project management.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
