About the Role:
Due to expansion and internal promotion, we are seeking an Automotive General Manager to take charge of one of our dealerships. The ideal candidate is a frontline leader who is actively involved in day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on used car profitability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
As part of a well-established dealership group representing Volkswagen, Subaru, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Kia, Cadillac, GMC, Ford, and Stellantis, this role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all dealership operations, including sales, finance, service, and fixed ops
- Drive used car acquisition, inventory turn, and pricing strategies for maximum profitability
- Develop and execute sales growth strategies for both new and used vehicles
- Be a hands-on leader, engaging with staff and customers daily to drive performance
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and retention
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and lenders
- Manage P&L, expense control, and overall dealership profitability
- Stay ahead of market trends, digital retailing, and evolving customer expectations
Qualifications:
- Proven success as a General Manager or high-level leadership role in an automotive dealership
- Extensive used car operations experience with a strong understanding of inventory management
- Experience with import brands and managing manufacturer relations
- A lead-from-the-front attitude – actively involved in daily operations
- Ability to analyze data, drive performance, and execute winning strategies
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of F&I, fixed ops, and digital marketing strategies
