About the Role:
As a DSP (Direct Service Professional Plus), your mission is to make sure our support center and its various programs run smoothly day in, and day out. You will play a critical role in guiding, teaching, and supporting our participants.
● Team Guidance: Ensure that the support center and programs run smoothly from open to close and encourage collaboration with fellow advisors to make it happen.
● Skills Training: Teach job, life, and social skills to our participants (e.g., kitchen skills and teamwork).
● Operational Oversight: Maintain an atmosphere of positivity, respect, and high standards.
● Community Involvement: Lead or accompany participants in community-based activities.
Expected Outcomes:
Within 15 Days:
● Thoroughly understand Stepping Stone’s mission, programs, and methodologies.
● Build rapport with staff and participants, identifying individual strengths and areas for growth within your team.
Within 30 Days:
● Initiate improvements in daily operations that contribute to a more efficient and effective support center.
● Create and begin implementing a short-term development plan that focuses on team synergy and improving the skills/engagement of our participants.
Within 45 Days:
● Evaluate the success of your short-term development plan and make necessary adjustments.
● Demonstrate leadership that promotes a measurable improvement in team performance and participant engagement.
Need to Have:
● A minimum of a high school diploma
● Previous experience or strong desire to work with an at-risk population
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
● Ability to work under pressure while ensuring top-notch care
Nice to Have:
● Previous experience in vocational training or life skills coaching
● Tech-savvy for record-keeping and documentation
Schedule:
● Full-time: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays, 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., plus once/month staff meeting on Friday afternoon
Location:
● This is an on-site position, performed at our center: 9032 W. Ken Caryl Ave. in Littleton, CO
Pay Rate:
● $17/hr.
