Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise data warehouse using Snowflake. The Data Architect will be a member of the Analytics Team within Stepstone's Portfolio Analytics and Reporting ("SPAR") department. This pivotal role will be responsible for architecting our data infrastructure, developing robust data pipelines, and ensuring the scalability and performance of our data solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with strategic thinking to drive our data initiatives forward.
Essential Job Functions :
- Design and implement the overall data architecture for our Snowflake-based data warehouse, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and optimize ETL / ELT processes using Snowflake's native capabilities and other data integration tools.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data models, including the design of star schemas, snowflake schemas, or data vault models as appropriate.
- Implement data governance frameworks, including data quality measures, metadata management, and security protocols using Snowflake's role-based access control (RBAC).
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new data sources into the warehouse, considering both technical feasibility and business value.
- Optimize query performance and data storage using Snowflake's features.
- Implement and maintain data security and privacy measures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into technical specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations to enhance our data capabilities.

Salary Range - $115,000 - $125,000
