Role Description

Sterling Engineering is looking for a talented Custom Equipment Sales Representative to sell our custom automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in account management and business development within the custom equipment manufacturing industry.

Main Duties

  1. Sales Strategy
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold outreach, referrals, and partnerships.
  1. Customer Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their automation needs and delivering tailored solutions.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of Account Management and/or Business Development experience within a custom equipment manufacturer.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingsness to travel nationally up to 50%
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
